Pest-hit farmers loath to leave land idle
Despite pest infestations, many rice farmers have continued to toil over their paddy fields as if nothing had happened. To them, taking a risk with the likes of brown planthoppers, voles or rice-stem borers is still a better choice than leaving their fields idle.
